surgery.....

I had my surgery on October 30. It went very well, and I am proud to say that I never had to take any percauset. I was able to manage my pain on 3 advil every 8 hours!!! Woohoo for me! haha. For those that don't know, I had a hysterectomy. The Dr removed my cervix and uterus, left my ovaries so that my body is not thrown into menopause. I have not received a pathology report back yet to confirm what the dr thinks. But I had it removed because I have adenomyosis. Adenomyosis is uterine thickening that occurs when endometrial tissue, which normally lines the uterus, moves into the outer muscular walls of the uterus. There is no treatment except for removal. So that is what we did. So we are officially done having children. Just means I get to spoil neices and nephews that much more! :) I am 6 days post surgery today and I am feeling pretty good. I can't laugh or sneeze without pain, but I am walking vertically as the dr says so that is great news! I go back on Dec 1 for another check up and then again on Dec 15 will keep you posted on them!

Halloween was fun! Aspen went trick or treating all around the neighborhood. My mom was here so she had lots of fun with Gramma! She had a halloween party at school on Thursday and she had so much fun. I helped this year, and it was much better than last years! She actually participated in all the games. Very interesting to see her interact with the kids in her class. She is very mature! :)

Las Vegas!

The kids and I went to Las Vegas September 23-26 for my cousin's wedding! We had so much fun considering we were all on antibiotics! Breckin and Aspen both had double ear infections and I had strep! There was so much family there, the kids were spoiled rotten! M&M World

Island Lake Hike

We hiked to Island Lake last weekend. The kids did great! We took the dogs and they were wore out before we hit 1/2 mile of the 2 miles up. Aspen played in the water when we got up there, and on our way back down it started raining on us. Unfortunatley this will probably be the last hike of the summer! :(

Her first day of preschool was sept 8. She did so great, we got there and she walked right in, hung up her backpack and walked off. Didn't even tell me good bye. Then I made her come give me a hug and tell me bye! When I got there to pick her up she was very excited to see us. She was talking to Breckin in the backseat on the way home, and said "its ok brother, I was just at school I wasn't going to be gone forever"
