Wow....

Where has January gone?!?!?!

Things are going great with us!!! Its so hard for me to grasp the concept that in just a few short weeks I will be the mother of a 1 year old and a 4 year old....I sure hope that at some point I can find that slow motion button for life!!

Breckin is walking, although he knows that crawling is so much faster! He thinks he is a big shot, and everytime he takes a step Aspen acts likes it was his first step so that doesn't help the little ego! HAHA. He is a ball of fire, keeps us up and running all the time!

Aspen....wow 4 years old...if I didn't know it I would swear she was turning 16!! She is doing great. Growing and maturing every day. She is has recently learned how to write more than just her own name. She now can write mom, dad, Breckin, Brian, puppy and kitty. Although her absolute favorite is hearts! She is such an absorbant learner. She has a new found love of sign language and spanish. I love that she is so eager to learn sign language. There are some great books for toddlers to learn sign language!

Brandon is still busy busy working....we are just patiently awaiting the final verdict on some testing that has to be done on the new mine site, to find out if he will be layed off.

I have started my photography courses. So far they are going great! I am really excited about all the things I am going to learn!

Christmas

Well Christmas came and went...We had Brandon's mom and dad here for christmas. We had a good time. Brandon and his dad went ice fishing, and caught LOTS of fish. Aspen, Lisa and I went to Alvin and the Chipmunks, what a cute movie!

Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving......

My mom, dad, brother and sister came out for thanksgiving. Unfortunatley my other brother and sister could not come but we had a great time. We had a very relaxing thanksgiving day, then on Friday we took them out to see where Brandon works and proceeded to get lost on our way back, as Brandon thought it would be a good idea to take the back roads....haha. Saturday we went to Lamoille and took some pictures.

9 months!

Where has the last 8 months gone.....my baby turned 9 months old last week. He is growing like a weed! He had his 9 month check up today, he is a BIG boy! He is 21.6 lbs-66%, 29 3/4 inches-75% and his head is 18 3/8 inches-85%. He is not as big as aspen was in comparison to percentiles but is about the exact same as far as weight and height. Not head....her's was much bigger! haha He didn't have to have any shots this time. Just a check. He does have an ear infection, but I already knew that. I have been talking to my Chiropractor about the kids, as i have heard that chiropractic care helps with ear infections. He told me to bring the kids in, as they both have ear infection problems, and Aspen snores like her Papa!! So they went in on monday morning and got adjusted. They both did really well. I am in hopes that this will help and will prevent any more infections and possibly prevent any tubes being put in! Its a much less invasive fix! And I do not like giving them antibiotics all the time! I asked Aspen monday afternoon how her back was doing and she replied...."its pretty great mom" On a brighter note, I know that its helped already as we have not had any bears sleeping in her room anymore!!

Surgery update!

This friday is my 5 week mark for post surgery, I am doing good. I had my 1st post op check up this week. Dr got my pathology report back and it was confirmed that I had Adenomysis. Other than that he thinks I am doing good. I go back in 3 weeks and have another check up!

surgery.....

I had my surgery on October 30. It went very well, and I am proud to say that I never had to take any percauset. I was able to manage my pain on 3 advil every 8 hours!!! Woohoo for me! haha. For those that don't know, I had a hysterectomy. The Dr removed my cervix and uterus, left my ovaries so that my body is not thrown into menopause. I have not received a pathology report back yet to confirm what the dr thinks. But I had it removed because I have adenomyosis. Adenomyosis is uterine thickening that occurs when endometrial tissue, which normally lines the uterus, moves into the outer muscular walls of the uterus. There is no treatment except for removal. So that is what we did. So we are officially done having children. Just means I get to spoil neices and nephews that much more! :) I am 6 days post surgery today and I am feeling pretty good. I can't laugh or sneeze without pain, but I am walking vertically as the dr says so that is great news! I go back on Dec 1 for another check up and then again on Dec 15 will keep you posted on them!

Halloween was fun! Aspen went trick or treating all around the neighborhood. My mom was here so she had lots of fun with Gramma! She had a halloween party at school on Thursday and she had so much fun. I helped this year, and it was much better than last years! She actually participated in all the games. Very interesting to see her interact with the kids in her class. She is very mature! :)
